Spex Appeal is a family business, run by a husband and wife team, Stewart and Michala Farr.

Stewart started his career by joining his fathers family business, a prescription house at the age of 16. During his career he has worked for independent opticians, mutiple opticians and one of the largest prescription houses in Britain. His roles have included technician, branch manager, regional manager, personnel training officer and now owner of Spex Appeal.

Michala started her career as a dispensing assistant for a mutiple optician, progressing to a branch manager of said mutiple and independent optician.

When we started Spex Appeal in Febuary 2009, the concept of the business was to supply spectacles to the public at discounted prices, we are able to keep the cost low as we do not do sight tests, we are a dispensing practice only, however, quality is never compromised. We dispense on a one to one basis therefore our customers have a personal service.
